Paul Perri #10823-3037

$275.00

Lots of subtle, tight straight grain in a typically large (Grp. 7) Paul Perri briar, purchased who knows when (no more recent than the 1980’s and probably much earlier. Can I risk it by saying that this has that reddish tinge that might mean Algerian?)? The rim is a part of the old burl, with those ‘dragon teeth’ extensions coming out of it. Unusual is the acrylic, brindle stem. Paul used mostly vulcanite and ebonite (what’s the difference?) but clearly wasn’t a slave to one material if another material would better serve. Is the pipe chamber large enough for me to get my thumb into it? You bet. Wide-open draw, and an easy A+ on the cleaner test. No bowl coating, no dark stain to hide anything…just pure Perri. Truly, you get what you see and you can see what you’re getting. The drilling, BTW, is spot at the bottom of the chamber. New.
5.9” long, bowl 2.3” tall. Weight: 2 5/8 oz., 73 grams.
