Jobey Two-Tone #42724-7793

$45.00

Another example of Jobey putting out an exceptionally shaped, or blasted when that’s the finish, briar pipe. This one also has the designation “EXTRA” stamped on it, which might refer to the size, although it’s not that large…probably a large Grp. 5 or small 6. The condition is excellent, with no marks on the rim or stem. It’s close to near-new. Also, it has a standard tenon rather than the Jobey Link (which, as I often say, is just fine, too). The draw is open. Looks like a pretty standard Rhodesian shape, to me. Which begs the question of ‘why is Rhodesian not cancelled if Oom-Paul is cancelled as a shape name due to Uncle Paul Kruger’s apartheid stance?’ Uncle Cecil, the ultimate imperialist (not that there’s anything wrong with making a buck) and founder of the blood diamond DeBeers company (not that there’s anything wrong with making a buck) is hardly and more in step with the 21st century than is Kruger. The stem material is ebonite.
5.45” long, bowl 1.5” tall. Weight: 2 1/8 oz., 59 grams.
