If you couldn’t see the stem logo and I called this an old Barling’s EL, I doubt anyone could tell the difference. Sitting in the case, ready to get posted I thought, “oh, good. Here comes a sweet little Barling’s for which I should be able to get a nice couple of dollars.” Nope, it is another Jobey. It’s a Grp. 3 size in very good condition, with a crisp inner rim and the merest of tooth marks on the top of the stem. One of them I’ll likely be able to buff out. The draw is open and the tenon on this vulcanite stem is a regular push-pull and not the Jobey link.
