Castello GG Old Antiquari #21724-6698 *SOLD 2/20/24*

$165.00

The “GG” means that the pipe is large, and it is, a Grp. 7 in size, or more likely an 8, if such a template existed in the Dunhill arsenal. The walls aren’t perfectly even all around (made by hand, after all) so in some places they’re more than 1/2” thick and in other places they’re a little under. By any measure, plenty thick. That doesn’t mean the chamber is small…it’s 9/10” in diameter at the top. The condition is very good…no marks on the stem and maybe just a touch of wear on the rim…hard to tell because the pipe is black and any carbon residue would be black, too. It’s a fairly old version, with the shape number, 33, stamped on the shank bottom.
6” long, bowl 2.35” tall. Weight: 2 3/8 oz., 69 grams.
