This Pebble Shell too has a Pat. #. One smart customer told me that it has to do with a process of Bill Taylor’s in which he steams the wood, raising, I suppose, the grain and thus helping create an unusual texture and depth to the briar. This pipe certainly fills that bill. Also, the condition is excellent, the draw is wide-open and with just a flip of the wrist (or more precisely, a twist of the cleaner) that test is passed. I’m not sure about the year, actually, but that’s how ignorant me is interpreting the ‘21’ after the “d” in “London.”
