See that date of 1991? That means that Larry has been, without any serious challenger in my mind, the very finest all-around U.S. pipemaker for over 30 years. How many of his pipes do you see on the estate market because I only rarely see one, and that is usually when I can get my mitts on the collector’s widow. So, here is one of Larry’s smooth pieces, a cross grain with lots of Bird’s Eye. The condition is very good, with just a touch of wear on the inner rim. The stem is free of bite marks. And with Larry’s near obsessive attention to detail, a cleaner passes easily into the chamber bottom. Grp. 6 size. Used.
