We all have our favorite types of grain patterns and finishes; mine is Bird’s Eye in the smooth finishes. I do like a good sandblast, too. This Occhio di Pernice (Bird’s Eye) is a Gpr. 6 size, at least and quite possibly a Grp. 7, although my Dunhill chart doesn’t go that high. Other than some very minor wear on the inner rim of the chamaber, the condition is excellent, with a mark-free stem. The draw, of course, is wide-open. The pipe is pre-Kino (Franco Coppo) and is signed by Carlo Scotti.
