This Rich Lewis straight grain is stamped “Chicago” 1984, and I’m not sure if he made it for the annual pipe auction at the Chicago show or he simply knew he was going to put it up for sale at that show. In any case, it’s a rare gem, unsmoked. It’s a Grp. 6 size with a wide-open draw and an acrylic stem. As you may well know, Rich died shortly after last year’s Chicago show…fortunately, I had the chance to speak to him at that show. I always enjoyed his company and wry wit. New.
