Originally, I couldn’t tell if the stamping on the shank was DM or PM. Well after writing a particularly stupid description here, an eagle-eyed correspondent corrected me and explained that the stamping was PM and that this was a Pierre Morel, one of the finest of the French pipe makers. So, thank you James. There are no fills that I could spot and there is very good cross grain and Bird’s Eye. It’s a Grp. 7 size with thick walls, an open draw and vulcanite stem. New.
