Dirk Claessen is (or was, I suppose) a Belgian who moved to Spain. The question for me is whether he is still making pipes. I hope so. This piece is quite handsome and better yet, it is near-new. It looks as though it has, perhaps, been smoked once. The stem is vulcanite and the draw is wide-open. Although the pipe is short, the bowl is large and thus it’s a Grp. 6 size. Used, barely.
