BC (Butz Choquin) Gardian #42724-7835

$45.00

The wood is clean (no fills) hence the very light stain, which hides nothing. The condition is excellent and the draw is wide-open. It is a Grp. 4 in size. What is interesting is that both the stem and that black ferrule have tenons and both are removable. I suppose one could glue the ferrule in, but I wouldn’t; the ability to remove both poses no negative threat that I can see, but does allow a very thorough cleaning of the mortise should one want to do that. As to the French spelling of Gardian…well, I can’t do much about that. Maybe it has more to do with gardens than guardians.
3.5” long, bowl 2” tall. Weight: 1.5 oz., 44 grams.
