This Calabash-shaped S.J. is from the old school, with the simple reddish dot on the stem. Yet the pipe is in excellent condition. The draw is also open; the stem material is acrylic. While it doesn’t seem all that large to me, there is enough briar in that long and wide bowl to give the pipe plenty of heft. Look at the weight.
