Savinelli #112123-5923 *SOLD 5/9/24*

$75.00

This is a rather unique pipe insofar as the nomenclature and stem button are concerned. The only stamping on the pipe is the name “Savinelli” and, of course, “Italy.” No grade is provided at all, which is most unusual. I mention the stem button because it is rounded in the 1930’s style, although those were all vulcanite and this is still an acrylic, and thus newer, stem. Yet, again, the style is that of an older pipe. It may be a commemorative of some type. The logo on the stem is like that of a Punto Oro, except this dot is in silver. The silver band undoubtedly provides a nice clue, if I could make sense of it. The writing of the pipe seems to be “Le mie pipe,” which means My Pipes, and under that is a signature which I’m guessing is the scrawl of the family member in charge at the time this pipe was made, although I challenge anyone to read that scribble. The pipe is in excellent condition and is Grp. 4 size.
6.25” long, bowl 1.9” tall. Weight: 1 3/8 oz., 36 grams.
