While I think this is a Paolo Becker pipe, it's conceivable, I suppose, that it is a Fritz production, or more likely, a joint effort of Fritz and Paolo. Regardless, it's a fine, handsome work in very good condition. There are no marks on the stem and only a little carbon residue on the rim. The nomenclature is simple, as was the case in the earlier days of Becker pipe. There is no grading, simply "Becker" and "Italy" plus a number 8, which may refer to the year of production. I'll ask Becker's importer and find out. It's a Grp. 5 size, and, as you can see, hand rusticated. The draw is open and the construction so good that despite the S curve a cleaner flows easily into the chamber bottom.
