Is this the original shape of the Sherlock Holmes series (which, comically, also includes, I believe, Mrs. Hudson). I think so because all it says is "Sherlock Holmes" and none of the other A.C. Doyle characters. This pipe is in excellent condition, has the original band with the profile of Holmes etched on it and the sliver "P" logo. There are no marks on the stem and the clean rim makes the pipe seem like near-new. I think in the photo I may have forgotten to push the stem all the way in...don't worry...it fits flushly, which may be a word coinage. Grp. 5 size.
