Of all the pipes I get to B.S. about, perhaps the most enjoyable and satisfying group, as a whole, are the old English marques. Orlik is one of those brands. It was founded in 1899 in London by a Louis Orlik. Clearly, the Supreme has to be at or near the very top of their grading system. And this Grp. 5 is in very good condition. Alas, the Orlik logo is not on the stem, although it is clearly an old vulcanite. There is a very, very minor tooth mark on the top of the stem. It’s so shallow, it’s hard to call it an indent. The draw is wide-open and the chamber is surprisingly large, easily taking my thumb.
