John Peel #11125-10188 *SOLD 1/27/25*
$60.00
This could be the poor man’s Barling, if such a thing exists. As the stamping says, the pipe was made by B.B&S Ltd. in London, England. That is, of course, B. Barling & Sons. The stem has a pristine crossed “Barling” logo on it. The shank, near the bowl, and the front of the bowl, even has a little touch of a Barling Quaint rustication. By the overall look, and the stamping (the nomenclature is crisp and clear) the pipe was made during the family era. If it’s old Barling briar you’re looking for as a great smoke, this has to be one helluva opportunity. The condition is excellent.
6” long, bowl 1.9” tall. Weight: 1.5 oz., 41 grams.
