Dunhill Shell #225-10712 *SOLD 3/15/25*

$115.00

What is the year of production? you might well ask. I don’t know, because the repair band covers that specific part of the shank. the pipe was made with a very thin shank at the bottom, and that, I think, is where it split. It’s a very fine split and I need to use a magnifying glass to see if, if it in fact exists. It is super unlikely that with the band in place that fissure can possibly get any worse, wo the pipe will live as long as any other pipe. I can see from the stamping that it is not an old Dunhill; quite likely it’s a piece from the 2000s. The bowl’s condition is excellent, near new. There is some tooth chatter on the bottom of the stem…I might be able to eliminate that with a little sanding, p[polishing and buffing. Or, screw it completely up. The pipe is Grp. 5 size according to the shape number (5202) and the draw is open. BTW…what year did Dunhill go to the “White Dot” nomenclature? This pipe clearly declares itself to be a Dunhill.
5.9” long, bowl 2” tall. Weight: 1.5 oz., 44 grams.
