A Grp. 5 in very good condition. There is a little carbon on the sandblasted rim, but the rim is crisp with no wear and there are no tooth marks on the DC stem. The old “CP” logo is still visible on the stem, with the hook of the “C” going into the P’s loop, but the white has been buffed off. The nomenclature is crisp and clear, but I don’t see an “L” which likely only means that the pipe was not produced for the U.S. market. It is quite clearly a Charatan from the days of an autonomous Charatan factory. The good blast will tell you that. The draw is open and in fact, a cleaner easily passes the acid test.
