Charatan Selected #9424-9289 *SOLD 9/11/24*

$125.00

Another example of the hand carved nature of Charatans, as opposed to the much more traditional, almost machine designed shapes of its high end rival, Dunhill. This has a Grp. 6 size bowl, although the forward thrust of the bottom of the bowl makes it look, and perhaps feel, even larger. The condition is very good, with just the slightest touch of wear on the inner chamber rim. The stem is mark-free and the "CP" stem logo is intact although the white has been buffed down considerably. This straight grain grade (3 up from the first straight grain grade) does have the Lane "L" logo on it. The draw is wide-open and is also designated "F. H." (Free Hand) although just a look at the pipe and its unique shape makes that obvious. Somewhat surprisingly, to me at least, it easily passes the cleaner test.
6.5" long, bowl 2.3" tall. Weight: 3 oz., 84 grams.
