Charatan Executive #42724-7844

$95.00

Who was the Charatan carver who regularly (maybe ‘constantly’ is a better word) shaped a bowl on top of a bowl? It is more than a Charatan trademark, it is something I’ve never seen anywhere else, and for good reason. It’s ugly. What prompted him to do it?
But they always sell…I see them in used pipe collections. Well, if you like this shape, don’t be embarrassed by your bad taste, we all have our shortcomings in one area or another. (Think of the multi-multi-millions that eat at fast food establishments, putting that putrescence down their gullets with no thought but for their pocket books.) Back to this pipe. It’s in good condition, with a touch of wear on the inner rim, a very clean original stem with a very minor tooth indent on the, and with logo, but with the white buffed off and the Lane “L” stamped on the shank. There is a little burn spot on the bottom of the shank…not from smoking of course, but from carelessness. It is also stamped “Extra Large.” The draw is wide-open.
6.25” long, bowl 1.9” tall. Weight: 1.75 oz., 48 grams.
