Here’s a special opportunity for Charatan collectors. This is one of the Charatans that I bought from master Danish pipe maker Former. His father-in-law was the Charatan sales rep for Switzerland. Former told me about the pipes when I was attending the annual tobacco retailers’ show in Dortmund and sometime after that, he sold the pipes to me. Thus, this is unsmoked. It is stamped Extra Large and Made by Hand. It is large, at least a Grp. 7 size, with a large capacity chamber despite thick walls.
