First, it should be evident that this is African and not Turkish meerschaum. Secondly, while this has the initials of the Barling bros., W.B. & E.B., on the band, it is not a family era pipe. It is, happily, in excellent condition, with no wear…on the rim, in the chamber or on the stem. There is no Barling logo on the stem. I have no explanation for that. Grp. 5 size with an open draw and not even a hint of tobacco aroma or taste that I can detect.
