Stanwell #62924-8289 *SOLD 7/1/24 AS*

$60.00

An oval bowl. What would prompt Stanwell to make a pipe with an oval bowl? Yet, it is a handsome, desirable-looking piece of briar with the kind of sandblast so many of us like. The condition is excellent, with a crisp rim, bite-free vulcanite stem and a complete “S” logo on the stem. The draw is wide open and I tested how well the chamber handles a typical Czech tool tamper and it does moderately well, with the tamper going about 2/3 (or maybe 3/4) the way down before being stopped by the chamber walls. You could always improvise with the top of a real nail or your young son’s pinky.
5.5” long, bowl 2.1” tall. Weight:1 3/8 oz., 39 grams.
