Peter Stokkebye Grade B # 8124-884 *SOLD 8/9/24*

$285.00

This is a Jørgen Larsen pipe. When Jørgen came back after a briar dust-enforced layoff, his importer, rather than the earlier CAO importer, became Peter Stokkebye, who put his name on the pipe rather than that of the maker. A mistake, in my opinion. When David Field and I, after Peter’s death, imported the pipes, we had Jørgen once again put his name on his superb pipes. This is his 2nd highest grade (“A” being the top) and the grain below the two beads is all tight straight grain. The condition of the pipe is excellent with no wear on the round chamber rim and no marks on the vulcanite stem. It’s a Grp 6 (or even a small 7) in size. Used.
6 1/8” long, bowl 2.2” tall. Weight: 2.5 oz., 72 grams.
