Kriswell Handmade #11125-10035 *SOLD 1/14/25*

$45.00

It’s always nice to see Kriswell. When I began dealing with used pipes 48 years ago, they were more common and I probably took their presence for granted. In my opinion, for a number of decades, different Danish brands had the status of providing the pipe smoking public with the best value. The honor went from Stanwell to Kriswell to Bjarne to Bari to Jarl, not in that particular order. Today, I don’t know who might have that honor, and even a good value means a fairly expensive pipe. Nothing decent is inexpensive anymore. This Grp. 2 sized sandblast is in excellent condition, with an ebonite stem and a wide-open draw. BTW, stamped on the shank, near the tenon, is “1887.” Wonder what that means.
5.4” long, bowl 1.9” tall. Weight: .75 oz., 21 grams.
